Finally, there is a website specifically
designed to give the Kawasaki Nomad owner and rider as much information
as possible...all in one place.
Whether you're a seasoned Nomad
rider or if you just took delivery of a Nomad yesterday, this website
was created to provide all types of information concerning one of
the best motorcycles on the road...the Kawasaki Nomad. There are
no dues to pay, no memberships and best of all, no president, vice-president
or elections to deal with. KawaNOW is totally free to the public.
Every Nomad owner is encouraged to use this site to gain more knowledge
into their Nomad. And, every Nomad owner has the opportunity to
submit information for publishing. KawaNOW is in the startup phase
and is a work in progress. Although some information and data has
been posted, users will need to check back often to get the latest
in Nomad information. Also, feel free to contribute any information
or write-ups concerning the Kawasaki Nomad. Feel free to visit any
of the pages of interest located on the left navigation menu bar.
As a Nomad owner, you're participation in this website is important,
so feel free to suggest any changes or comments.

BORN TO RUN: That's probably the best description of a Kawasaki
Nomad. Although the Vulcan Classic is a capable mount, Kawasaki's
R&D department rolled up its collective sleeves to create a
purposeful traveling cruiser. The Nomad, while resembling the Classic
in many ways, occupies a different subcategory. Consider the Vulcan
Classic and the Nomad as siblings, each blessed with different strengths
which will lead them to embark on different careers. Designed to
carry a rider and a passenger with gear over vast stretches of pavement,
the Nomad's fashionable, functional, fat look goes deeper than the
surface. Using the Classic frame as a starting point, the Nomad
chassis incorporates 0.4-inch-diameter tubing throughout much of
the frame. The diameter of the steering head is larger, and gussets
strengthen this highly stressed point even further. The goal was
to reduce frame flex, giving a more stable ride. Moving the steering
head forward also aids stability when combined with the new triple-clamp
offset. The Nomad is a very stable plateform by which to load and
ride to anywhere the imagination comes up with.
This website is dedicated to those who own a Kawasaki Nomad...past,
present, future...and worldwide.
