Nomad Accessories
The following is a list of accessories that can be used on a Nomad. This list is certainly not complete. If you have purchased an accessory that is not listed here, feel free to email Trip and let him know. Check this page often.
Trunk Bag:
T-Bag makes a lot of different bags but one in particular that really
aids in giving maximum storage space for trips is the Tahoe Roll
Bag.
I call it my "Day Bag". Actually, it's called the Tahoe
Roll bag by T-BAGS. You can get it from the T-Bags website at
http://www.tbags.com/detail.aspx?ID=44&SelectedCat=2
- Constructed of tough, colorfast 1680d nylon

- Tahoe Roll Bag can be mounted separately or used with the Tahoe
bag for additional storage
- Dimensions 13" W X 8" Dia .38 cubic ft
Tank Chap:
Have you ever needed something to partially cover your gas tank to prevent scratching by your jeans while riding. Here's the answer.
It's called the Classic Tank Chap. The chap is made with marine grade materials and should give you years of service. Installation is simple and can be done with the seat in place, however installation is easier with the seat off. The chap is threaded around the front and sides of the tank with an elastic band and hooks with a stainless steel hook. Chaps will fit a Classic and Nomad. To purchase one, go to their website at www.classicchaps.com or contact them at Classic Chaps, 11 Stony Brook Dr., Belleville, PA. 17004. By phone: 717-483-6125.
Engine Guard Chaps:
Keep on ridin'...(even if it is cold, damp, but otherwise lovely riding weather...)
Stay warm and dry by giving your legs some wind and rain protection with these synthetic leather covers made with heavy duty marine grade UV resistant materials (less maintenance). On any ride, warm toes and dry feet are a must, and these do the trick. Installation is simple, just slip the chap on to the appropriate side of the engine guard and hook the upper straps together with the stainless steel clip, then attach the hook and loop straps around the lower mounting brackets. The chaps will fit the Kawasaki Nomad Accessory and OEM Engine Guard for the 1500 and 1600 Nomad '99 and up. The chaps are made specifically for these engine guards for a nice snug fit and there is a tailored opening for highway pegs. The chaps can be studded and there are detachable pockets available as well. Don't let the weather stop you, ride on! To purchase one, go to their website at www.classicchaps.com or contact them at Classic Chaps, 11 Stony Brook Dr., Belleville, PA. 17004. By phone: 717-483-6125.
Saddlebag Chaps:
So, you think you own every chap there is for the Nomad....wrong.
Take a look at these Saddlebag Chaps. These are CUSTOM saddlebag chaps. These chaps are hand made from black marine grade simulated leather that will outlast any weather conditions you may ever ride through. The material is also scratch resistant, so you will get superior protection for your saddlebags. Material can be wiped down with water, or any material cleaner/protectant to make it shine like new again. This will also protect the top of your saddlebag from scrapes and scuffs from mounting and dismounting your bike while making them look unique at the same time. Also, want more options? We have 9 additional colors that these can be made in. This is ideal if you have a tan seat, and are looking for an easy way to get a close match.
These chaps will fit any year Nomad, 99 - present. Installation of these chaps is very simple. There is no drilling or defacing necessary. On the bottom of your saddlebags, there are two cylinders. Our chaps have reinforced material and steel washers sewn into them to prevent stretching or tearing over time. The chaps stretch slightly and fit neatly over the cylinders.

These are high quality items that are NOT mass produced. All are put together piece by piece; Our design is completely original. Since we are a new business, we are open to suggestions, so if you have any special designs that we might be able to incorporate into our chaps, please let us know. Also, ask about our CUSTOM matching tank bibs for the Nomad. They look awesome together.
We are currently working on making a custom design backrest for
the Nomad. A lot of time, sweat, and tears go into them, but when
they are finished, I think they will look amazing. We made one for
our bike a couple years ago, but due to the overwhelming interest
we have had in them, we are working on making them safe enough to
sell. We aren't ready yet, but will be eventually. Contact us at

On your page you have a list of known aftermarket Nomad 1600 accessories, and I want to let you know about one that has already come and gone, but I found the guy that bought Jardine's remaining stock (80 pcs).
Apparently, for a short time, Jardine made a quick release backrest bracket and backrest for the 1600 Nomad. Not everyone wants one, but I DID and couldn't find such a thing, until recently when I found it had already been discontinued and sold off.The buyer was SUNDRYSTORE@COMCAST.NET . Jim, at Sundrystore, told me they will be selling these brackets on eBay under the seller ID "MX113". I can't guarantee the price that will be on eBay, but he just sold me a set for $100 shipping included, that's less than half the price of Jardine's retail (see pic attached ). If anyone is interested, I would suggest contacting Jim at the above listed email address. The part number to reference is: 34-3008-01. The additional purchase of a tall or short backrest to go with these brackets can still be made at Jardine's web site, or www.ChromeWorld.com . Fixed brackets for these same backrests can still be bought also.
