Other items I can setup in my profile...and other misc forum stuff.

- If you don't want to show pictures and images while logged in:
Just go to your "profile" on the top menu bar, select "modify profile". Under the section ACCOUNT PREFERENCES, choose "no" under "show images".
Keep in mind that no images will show on any of your pages....that goes for avatars too. Only text will show.

- If you don't want anyone to see your name while logged on:
Just go to your "profile" on the top menu bar, select "modify profile". Under the section ACCOUNT PREFERENCES, choose "yes" under "stay invisible".
This will keep others from seeing your name while logged on, however, the admin can see it and it will be marked as being invisible, which will make the admin wonder what you're up to???????

- How can I view the latest posts on the system without having to go into each thread?
After you log on, and you are viewing the KawaNOW Forum Main Page listing all of the boards, look under Forum Statistics and click on "View the 20 most recent posts of this forum". The last 20 posts on the system will show and allow you to respond. The system is setup to show the last 20 posts, which is 10 more than most forums.

- Is there some default button or setting I can select that will notify me when someone replies to a thread I've either started or replied to?
With Proboards, there's no way to get notified when someone replies to your thread you started or from a post you left. Some boards have that capability, but I haven't found it with Proboards. But, you can get notified by email if you receive a PM (private message). You can choose to receive an email or be alerted when you log in if you receive a PM or both. To do this, click on the number of messages you have at the top right of this page. This will take you to your Private Messages area. Click on "preferences" at the top menu bar and make your selections. Be sure to click and save your setup.

- Sometimes I see small maps in the footers of members. What is that and do I want one?
What you see are travel maps for that particular member. It is a map showing what states that member has traveled through on their motorcycle. Some maps are pretty impressive. If you would like a map of your own, go to http://epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap and make one. Be honest though and modify it when needed. Save the file in JPEG form in the size of 396X200 and place it in your footer.
