KawaNOW Rally 2008
For the year 2008, it has been decided that
rather than having one big rally, KawaNOW members would hold three
rally's, one for each region. Below is a map of how the US is divided
as far as KawaNOW regions. Below that is information concerning
the rally to be held for each region.


KawaNOW Western Region - Rally 2008
Mesquite, Nevada - June 19 thru June 21, 2008

Rally Lodging: Casa Blanca Resort & Casino in Mesquite,
Nevada
Rally Dates: Thursday, June 19, 2008 thru Saturday, June
21, 2008. Arrive Thursday evening - head home Saturday morning.
If you can't stay both nights, come for 1 night or just join us
for the day ride. Hope to see you there.
Rally Information: Here is the info for the upcoming Western
Region Rally: The Rally will be held at Casa Blanca Resort and Casino
in Mesquite, Nevada, off of I-15 exit 120 on the SE side of I-15.
Individual rooms will be reserved on a first come first served basis
either through the hotel directly or through a wholesaler such as
expedia or travelocity.
Check in will be Thursday June 19 after 4:00 pm and check out will
be Saturday June 21 by 11:00 am. Friday morning we will ride from
Mesquite, through Zion National Park in southern Utah, and then
back to Mesquite (about 200 miles round trip.) The hotel has an
outdoor pool. There is also a buffet and café at the hotel.

Every attendee at the rally must fill out and sign a KawaNOW Rally
Waiver located below. The waiver must be filled out in full and turned
in to the Rally Leader or Co-Rally Leader before the rally or at the
rally first thing.

In order to provide the highest level of safety for rally attendees,
it is suggested that each attendee print out, and fill out a KawaNOW
ICE form located below. After filling it out, this form is to be folded
and stored in the rider's mesh pocket located in the left hard bag
of their Nomad. In case of an emergency, this form can help authorities
or KawaNOW members locate emergency contacts and aid in treating the
rider if hospitalized.

KawaNOW Ride and Event Disclaimer/Waiver Considerable
care has been taken into the planning and execution of all KawaNOW
Events and Planned Rides. However, the KawaNOW Membership, KawaNOW
Leadership, KawaNOW Staff and KawaNOW Webmaster are unable to provide
any warranty or guarantee concerning the safety for participants in
such activities. KawaNOW activities are voluntary and all KawaNOW
Membership, KawaNOW Leadership, KawaNOW Staff and KawaNOW Webmaster
shall be held harmless in the event of any and all outcomes of such
activities and events. Your attendance at such events and activities
will be considered proof that you have read and understand this disclaimer.

Rally Information: Here is the Eastern Region Rally info. We have 20 rooms blocked at the Super 8 Hotel in Elkins, W Va. The rate is $55 + tax for 1 to 4 people. Two double beds and non-smoking. The block release date is May 19th. Any rooms that are not booked by then will automatically go back to the hotel. The rooms may be booked by each person with a credit card. The number is 1-800-854-9518. The rooms may be cancelled up to 4 pm the day of arrival. Confirmation number is 65872154.
