Meet The KawaNOW Staff

KawaNOW was started for the specific purpose of giving all Nomad owners a place to visit, sit back, ask questions and gain knowledge about their Nomads. We like to think of KawaNOW as a big living room with lots of Nomad owners present, laughing, talking about their Nomads, asking questions and riding their Nomads with a big smile on their faces.

With KawaNOW growing in membership and numbers, a staff of voluntary members has been appointed to help with the management of KawaNOW.

Dan Lund
KawaNOW #00035

KawaNOW Chief Safety & Riding Officer (CSR)
Denver, Colorado
Email: danlund@kawanow.org

Dan has been riding for 28 years, starting with a 1974 Honda XL 250 that he bought with money from an after school job at 14 years old. He has had a bike in one form or another ever since.

He bought his first Nomad new in 1999 and put 63,000 miles on it. From there he had one more 99, an 05, and his current ride a silver and green 06 Nomad. Dan considers himself afflicted with a genetic defect that makes him thrill seek a little too strongly, influencing him to ride in an aggressively fast manner. To counteract his genetics he has tried to learn all he can about motorcycle safety and the dynamics of motorcycle operation, in an effort to stay safe on his ride.

Dan is married to his wife Joanna, has two children, the youngest is 19. Dan is a marriage and family counselor in private practice in Denver Colorado. Being an empty nester now, he is finding more time for riding.
